1. Dixon Ring


Brief  introduction:

Developed by British scientist O.G. Dixon in 1949, it is a small particle high-efficiency packing, made of wire mesh or piercing-hole plate. Materials currently used include: stainless steel, brass, carbon steel, phosphor bronze, and the like. Due to the capillary action of the wire mesh, the liquid can be well dispersed into a film, which facilitates full mass transfer and heat transfer of the gas and liquid, and can significantly eliminate unstable phenomena such as channel flow. the diameter and height of the packing is equal, mainly used in the laboratory and small batch packing, high purity product separation process.

2、Fenske spiral Packing

Brief  introduction:

The Fenske spiral Packing is made of wire and has a shape similar to that of a spring, also known as a triangular spring Packing. It differences from a spring in that each turn of the winding is not a circle but a triangular , and the triangular  between the ring and the ring is offset by a certain angle, so that it is a polygon when viewed from the end face. This packing is more efficient, but has a slightly higher resistance than the annular packing and is widely used in laboratory-scale isotope separation studies.

3.Cannon Packing- propak

Brief  introduction:

Also known as Cannon Packing, it consists of a number of thin stainless steel plates with small holes, but the punching does not remove the metal, but rather causes it to protrude into a rough surface, which facilitates the wetting of the metal surface by the liquid. Mainly used in the separation process of laboratory and small batch, high purity products. Its strength is greater than other experimental fillers .

4. Experimental Metal Gauze Corrugated Packing


Brief  introduction:

The hydrodynamic and mass transfer characteristics of 4 kinds of Ytype gauze corrugated packing with high specific surface area (900,1100,1700,2500 m2/m3 respectively) were systematically studied in a muhifunctional Distillation column. The results show that the 2500 Y packing has very high resistance and poor mass transfer efficiency due to its extremely narrow flow channe1.The mass-transfer efficiency increases with the specific area for the other 3 kinds of packing.However,the 900Y and 1100Y packing have better performance in general.
